The Four Sho, based on five phase acupuncture,
is the determination of the most deficient root energetic
pattern.
Ho technique, the most important and powerful
technique of Toyohari, is a non inserting supplement needle
technique used for the root treatment.
Sha techniques, for the dispersion of true excess
pathogenic qi or excess from deficient qi.
Waho technique is a needling technique used to
encourage qi to move in a pattern that is fundamentally not
deficient or excess but insufficient in action.
Six position pulse diagnosis is used for immediate
feedback and to monitor and adjust root and local
treatments. Learn to identify the most deficient pattern and
to determine types, location and kinds of pathogenic qi.
Kazato Hoshiki, unique to Toyohari, is a group
study method used to improve one's needling and pulse
techniques.
Shisei is the proper posture for needling that
encourages maximum qi flow, a meditative mind, and comfort.
Extraordinary Vessels are used for addressing
branch treatments. The use of Zinc/Copper pellets, press
balls, polarity agents, magnets, energy flows, pathways,
special point locations, symptoms and evaluation is
discussed.
Shigo technique is a non insertion needling
technique using a thirty gauge gold needle with the Chinese
clock theory to treat acute emergency symptoms.
NASO techniques are specialized techniques on the
neck and upper back used to relieve symptoms. Using a few
points and proper qi sensitivity, many symptoms such as:
whiplash, headache, neck pain, shoulder pain, TMJ and more,
can be treated.
MUNO techniques similar to NASO techniques, are
focused on the lower jiao and sacral region in order to
treat many conditions such as: knee pain, back pain,
gynecological conditions and more.
Shiraku is a micro-bleeding and cupping techniques
as done in Japan.
Sanshin must be seen to be believed. It involves
movement of the energy in the meridians or a local area to
relieve symptoms and induce the relaxation response. It is
loosely translated "touch needle technique" and involves
touching multiple points determined by a high level of qi
sensitivity.
Okyu the use of moxa, is a separate license in
Japan. Direct and indirect moxa techniques, point location
including extra vessel use are taught, along with proper
rolling techniques.
